Some of us went to the Satir Global Conference in Denver Colorado in August this summer. I would like to share feedback on the conference with other people who attended and tell those of you who were not able to attend what it was like.
Three months later, my strongest memories of the conference are of the connections I made with people. Connecting very strongly with Ladda and Tipa and Kam from Thailand, from the pre-conference to the post-conference. Spending the day after the conference visiting the Rockies with Marco from Italy and Lachlan from Australia. The joy of connecting with old friends again, people I met at the Waterloo conference in 2005 and the Seattle one in 2006, people I met in other places at Satir related events. Meeting other people who have taken or are taking the Enriching your Relationships training. How much fun it is to meet new people in an environment where I start out more open because I know I am dealing with people with a Satir background and feel safe right away. Delivering material and messages back and forth between people who made it to Denver and those who did not, completing a circle of connection. Thinking about this, I see many of your smiling faces in my mind. I am so glad I went!
