Satir Global Network

Where the Satir Community Connects.

I'd like to create an online library of Virginia Satir videos to introduce her work to counselors, clergy, behavioral and mental health professionals, and lay people involved in helping couples, families and youth. Over the past several years, as I've trained well over 1,000 professionals to teach PAIRS classes that incorporate much of Virginia's work, I've been saddened to see how many young counselors and lay leaders are not familiar with her.

PAIRS has a wonderful collection of videos that capture much of Virginia's magic and brilliance during a 1984 Professional Training in Washington, D.C.

If you'd enjoy complimentary online access to a sample video from this training, see http://vimeo.com/13928495 and e-mail mailto: seth.eisenberg@pairs.com. A password is required to view the online films, which will be provided by prompt return e-mail.

If you have films you'd like to have converted for online viewing, I'll be happy to help. Also, if you know of Satir videos that are already online that should be added to our collection, kindly let me know.

Much appreciation!

Yes I agree and I think it will begin to happen. I am hoping that one of fuctions of the Satir Global Network will be a resource for all work related to Satir. How are the Goldens? Last time I saw Paula and David was an Avanta meeting in Texas. The Pairs program is a well established program good to see your promotion. Look forward to your posts. Are you a member of the http://satirglobal.org/
It is what remains of the Avanta network? Have you thought of posting an Ad for your work in the Satir Journal? Or perhaps writing an article? They are connected with the Satir Institute of the Pacific.
Thank you, Stephen.

I'd be happy to do both. Please let me know who to contact.

All good wishes,
Seth
I am a member of the Satir Network, to the best of my knowledge.

PAIRS is taught to many thousands annually in a variety of formats. Much of my focus is skills training for couples impacted by combat deployment and low-income couples and singles in any stage of relationship, especially those who are highly distressed.

If you're interested, you can see a sample of our most popular brief program, PAIRS Essentials, online at http://issuu.com/setheisenberg/docs/essentials.

All good wishes,
Seth
The journal contact information is http://www.satirjournal.com/text/sj-submissions.html
Keep up the good work. Have you met the Goldens, I remember in the 80's how hard they worked to develop the Pairs idea, Michelle Baldwin also was part of the early process. Your work is very important. I am thinking you are working with the DOD hope they expand the services.

All the best

Thank you, Stephen. If you mean the Gordons, Lori Gordon is my mother. Rabbi Morris Gordon is my late stepfather.

I appreciate your guidance and kind words.

All good wishes,
Seth
