Hi Diana,
The need was for my nephew. I don't know the background of the person he is working with. He lives in Danville, so he needed someone in that area. Thanks you.
Organization and Leadership consultant and coach. I work with individuals and organizations to help them make the positive changes they want or need to make to be vital and sustainable organizations. My work includes management consulting, group facilitation, training and individual coaching. I use the Satir model to complement other development models for strategic planning, change leadersship, career counseling, team development, leadership development and innovation practices.
I am a volunteer for the Executive Service Corps of Washington where I work with small non-profits on capacity building and I am an adjunct faculty in the adult education program at Bellevue Community College.
I also run a community program, called Million Ideas for Peace in which I work with individuals and groups to help them connect with their systemic sources of peace through volunteerism, service to social justice in the community. http://www.millionideas4peace.com
My Satir experience/work
Learned about Satir's work in graduate school with Jean McClendon and did additional training with the Satir Institute of the Pacific in Vancouver, BC. I also have done some personal change work with a colleague who uses Satir in her therapy practice.
My interests/hopes and wishes
Human beings are capable of much more good than we can imagine, including making the choice FOR change throughout our lives.
The way in which our brains have evolved, thus far, makes changing a great art and often hard work.
My life's purpose is help myself and others to become more free and fully alive by learning and applying what is learned about the physical, emotional, and spiritual systems that impact us. My intention is to do this in service to a more just, compassionate, loving and peaceful world.
