since you have the masters in psychology, you would qualify. You could check on the requirements for practicing therapy in the state of Massach. and see if you can work with a few clients without being licensed, etc. Then you can take the training!!!! Sandy
There are 2 levels right now. Each one happens over a year. We have required that students be at least masters level education in counseling psychology and be working currently with clients. Would that be you? Sandy
Hi Majka,
My level one training will begin in October and meet once a month, Oct. Nov, Jan, Feb, and March. It's usually the 2nd weekend but I will have to adjust that this time around my level two training. John Banmen, and hopefully Gloria Taylor, will be helping me with Level two this year. Where do you live? Sandy
Hi, my name is Majka, I come from Slovakia. I studied at University of St. Cyril and Methodius, in Slovakia and I got my masters from psychology. I live with my great husband on Cape Cod right now.
My Satir experience/work
The first time I knew about Virginia Satir was 3 years ago, when I bought a book Making contact in Chicago in Adler School of psychology. When I read it, I thought, this is so great. We had also lectures about Virginia and her work at University. Then I took a course Introduction to model - process of change at Bay College and now I am finishing with course Enriching your relantionship....It`s really great, I love it.
My interests/hopes and wishes
I really love talking to my friends and my family, playing tennis, making jewerly.
My hopes...well, I hope one day I`ll become a psychotherapist. In near future I was thinking to take psychotherapy trainning, so we will see.
