About me: I am on the Virginia Satir Global Network Board, am a practicing psychotherapist, teach part-time.

My Satir experience/work: I have written several books based on Satir's work including The Satir Process and Enriching Your Relationship with Yourself and Others--Based on the Teachings of Virginia Satir.

My interests/hopes and wishes.: My main interest at this point is making our network viable and training people in the Enriching Program which is a psych-educational program teaching Satir concepts and skills to people from all walks of life.

Greetings,

My name is Sharon Loeschen and I had the privilege of attending the Satir World Conference in Hong Kong in June. It was a wonderful experience of connecting and learning from people from all around the world. For example, it was my first time having the experience of really connecting with people from mainland China. and it was wonderful. I always come away from Satir meetings reaffirmed in the universality of our humanness and the joy of re-experiencing that.

Thanks so much for your note. The unfolding mystery of ourselves lends itself to the ageold Jesuit concept of discernment. Therein lies the struggle and the excitement of our individual lives. Discerning not only what is unhealthy in the totality of our process, but also more importantly what is healthy. Perhaps if I can get out of my own way, I can discover what it is that I do that is holding me back, in order to discover what will help me move forward.

Thanks a lot for your information. I will visit the website to understand about the enriching skills program. And I did book a few books from the Virginia Satir Global Bookstore yesterday, though haven't got confirmation yet. I plan not only to learn from the book, but also get familiar with the terminologies, so that I might be assist others to spread Satir in China as a interpreter.
