I watched a few TED sessions - Technology, Entertainment, Design: "Ideas worth spreading".
Lots of food 4 thought here. Martin Seligman, associated with Positive Psychology and a professor in nearby University of Pennsylvania is one of the sessions.
I am not a psychologist, but it seems to me that there is synergy between Satir's approach and Positive Psychology - the base assumption being an approach from optimism. "People are not broken".
Just bought several books: Learned Optimism (M. Seligman); A Primer in Postive Psychology (Christopher Peterson); Good Business (Mihaly Csikszentmihallyi). Will let you know what "AhHas" I discover and whether there seems to be a connection.
I am wondering what sort of exposure and experience people on this network have with this "camp" of psychology.
Anyone hear about this? Any synergy with this?
